WAYS WE SUPPORT INCLUSION

EDUCATION & WORKSHOPS
Inclusion Lethbridge offers education and workshops designed to build knowledge, skills, and understanding for individuals with disabilities, families, and the wider community. Our sessions cover topics such as self-advocacy, inclusion, rights, life skills, and navigating systems. Through interactive learning and practical guidance, participants gain tools to confidently advocate for themselves or support others, fostering greater inclusion, empowerment, and connection in all areas of life.
Workshops Include:

ADVOCACY SUPPORT
Our primary goal as advocates is to elevate the voices of individuals with disabilities and their families. Advocacy means more than empowering people to speak up for themselves—it’s about actively supporting them, amplifying their perspectives, and helping ensure their needs, rights, and goals are heard and acted upon.

NAVIGATION & PLANNING SUPPORTS
Our organization helps individuals with disabilities and their families navigate systems and plan for the future. We provide guidance, information, and advocacy around services like AISH, PDD, education transitions, employment, housing, and community resources. Our person-centered approach supports people in making informed choices and achieving their goals with confidence.
SUPPORT GROUPS & PEER MENTORSHIP
SRSAN
(South Region Self Advocacy Network)
A peer-led group that brings together individuals with disabilities to build self-advocacy skills, share lived experiences, and support one another in speaking up about issues that matter to them. Through meetings, learning opportunities, and community connection, SRSAN empowers members to understand their rights, build confidence, and take an active role in their communities. Inclusion Lethbridge proudly supports SRSAN as part of our commitment to inclusion, self-determination, and meaningful participation for people of all abilities.

Parent to Parent and Parent 2 Parent
are supportive groups for parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities. These groups provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space to connect with others who share similar experiences, ask questions, and offer mutual support. Through conversation, shared learning, and community connection, participants gain practical information, emotional support, and reassurance that they are not alone on their journey. Inclusion Lethbridge is proud to offer these groups as part of our commitment to strengthening families, building community, and supporting caregivers at every stage.
