COMMUNITY CABARET – COME TOGETHER!
October 10th at 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm (Doors open at 6:30pm)
Community Cabaret is back! Geomatic Attic is partnering with Inclusion Lethbridge to create another wickedly fun and accessible adult dance party! Join us on October 10 at Southminster United Church hall for the energizing music of Bente Hensen on piano, followed by Hippodrome. We will have some food, drinks and laughs. Bring some extra cash as we raise funds for the work of Inclusion Lethbridge. We’ve held 7 sold out events since 2016 and are delighted to host another financially and physically accessible party in a new location. Membership is not required for this ticket. Every elector is assigned a voting place based on their place of residence.

Celebrating Disability Employment Awareness Month
Inclusion Lethbridge is proud to collaborate with the University of Lethbridge’s Accessibility, Belonging and Community (ABC) Office to celebrate Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM)!
Throughout October, the University of Lethbridge will host a series of engaging events and conversations focused on disability, accessibility, inclusion, and the importance of creating more welcoming and equitable communities and workplaces.

Bill 12: What can vulnerable Albertans expect?
Bill 12 introduces the new Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) to replace Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH). Many vulnerable Albertans face significant benefit cuts (around $200/month less than AISH), reduced income exemptions, removal of cost-of-living adjustments, and limited appeal rights. The Bill has sparked major concern about increased poverty and vulnerability despite government claims that these changes modernize support. The speakers elaborate on the impacts of Bill 12 and will address concerns about these issues.
