Join Inclusion Lethbridge and the South Region Self-Advocacy Network (SRSAN). For more than 16 years, the Citizen Walk About has brought people together to raise awareness, celebrate achievements, and promote a community where people with disabilities are valued as full and equal citizens.

How You Can Get Involved

Purchase a Citizen Walk About T-Shirt

Show your support for inclusion while helping fund this important community event. Citizen Walk About t-shirts are available for purchase and are a great way to stand alongside people with disabilities and their families in creating a more inclusive community.

Bill 12: What can vulnerable Albertans expect?

Bill 12 introduces the new Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) to replace Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH). Many vulnerable Albertans face significant benefit cuts (around $200/month less than AISH), reduced income exemptions, removal of cost-of-living adjustments, and limited appeal rights. The Bill has sparked major concern about increased poverty and vulnerability despite government claims that these changes modernize support. The speakers elaborate on the impacts of Bill 12 and will address concerns about these issues.
